Recapping the summer

The school buses are on the roads. The nights are turning cool. The pool is closed up. Incredibly, summer is over. Let's revisit some of the sensational events in the summer of 2009 at Mustard Seed Migrant Ministry.

The Gratitude Garden was started by the kids. They grew various vegetables and salad items which they themselves consumed.

The pool was officially dedicated amid much fanfare.

High school and college students came and offered their services as companions to our youth. Among those who came were students from the Capuchin Franciscans; Kennedy High School and Pope John High School.

The ice cream truck stopped by often.

And  of course there was the trip to Yankee Stadium.

All of this plus trips to the Sussex County Fair; to Splashdown beach; and to Action Park made 2009 a summer to cherish at MSMM.
