About the Ministry

Mustard Seed Migrant Ministry is a Catholic based outreach, located in Orange County, NY. The Ministry serves migrant farm worker families, with particular reference to the children. Sisters Pam Wagner and Fran Liston are members of the Sisters of Divine Compassion, who sponsor them in this ministry. The ministry has been in operation since 1990.

MISSION STATEMENT: Mustard Seed Migrant Ministry is primarily a ministry of presence that strives to be a manifestation of the compassion of God through hospitality, outreach, and connection in and among the Latino farmworking community, both migrant and settled, particularly the children.

Our hope is that Mustard Seed is like a "home away from home" where children can be children. Here the children enjoy good meals, God stories, trips, birthday celebrations, picnics, and opportunities just to play and make lasting friendships.
We consider ourselves very blessed and we rejoice that the people we serve know that they are cared for by so many. All food, activities, and trips benefiting the children are made possible through the generosity of many people.
"…if you have faith as small as a mustard seed…Nothing will be impossible for you." Mathew 17:20
